Treadwise has been fitting tyres for over 17 years and quite a large customer base has been formed. I`m always keen for any remarks on the tyres fitted as listening to my customers experiences are what builds my reputation. I only use one supplier for my new tyres which is Exhausts Tyres and Batteries. They offer a broad range of tyres which I receive good quotes for and pass on to my customers happy in the knowledge that all of their tyre brands have been vetted. With having two deliveries a day and a Saturday delivery, helpful staff on the wholesale team, there`s been no reason to go anywhere else.

Excusing the top brand names, with prices outside of the average budget, my quotes are aimed at the lower end of the price range when quoting customers locally.  It was quite a while ago one of these tyres started to shine through. One of my customers had some extra load tyres fitted to a VW Transporter. Now these vans would normally use commercial grade tyres but with the 18 inch alloy wheels fitted to the VW they don`t make a commercial in the 40/45 profile required for the tyre to fit on the vehicle. Well his current extra load tyres had cracked on the inside and needed replacing. I tried some Landsail tyres. In my experience they were the most robust tyre around the budget price range so we decided to give them a go. Apart from the attributes you would generally observe on the tyres label being in the B range the tyre has been designed with longevity in mind. Also, and I think inadvertently, there`s another trait which isn`t mentioned on the tyres label which this tyre is very good at dealing with and that`s torque. I`m quite happy fitting these to the big BMW`s, Mercedes and Audi`s for example. Also, large campers with their torquey diesel engines and upgraded alloy wheels.

Always being a pleasure to fit and balance the Landsail tyre is the only tyre on our shelves here at Treadwise. However, if you do have a favourite, I`m always happy to quote for other brands.

We`re doing some mileage tests to see what we`re getting out of a range of customer vehicles. I know the Landsails go on for ever but we`ll be having some of our customers vehicles back on 3,000 mile intervals for a measure up to see how much tread they`ve used so we`ll be publishing the results.
