Since I`ve been fitting tyres now for about 12 years and operating as an independent retailer of tyres in Hereford it`s in my own interest to use a product that I can rely on.
Over the years I`ve tried many brands. Some supplied by myself and others that my regular customers have asked me to fit. The feedback I receive from them is noted.
I believe what we`re all hoping for is a tyre that lasts for many miles and performs in varying conditions. Also cost needs to be taken into consideration.
Putting the premium brands to one side at the moment we`re going to have a look at the budget end of the market and a tyre that, in my mind, offers fantastic value for money and has proved itself to my customers time and time again.
Selling currently at £37 fitted for the 15 and 16 inch sizes it`s very competitively priced but what`s more apparent is the performance. I have taxi drivers saying they`ve had 25,000 miles out of them. They are the only budget tyres I will fit to the big Mercs and BMW`s as the torque would generally cause the inside walls of the budget tyres to crack. Same goes for the VW campers on the 18 inch rims.
They have been a `C` on the fuel and `C` on the wet weathjer grip but I see some of the tyres are coming through with `B` `B` ratings showing me that there is an effort to constantly improve this product.
This is the tyre I will be recommending for my customers.
